The Team
DANIEL SOBELMAN
Daniel Sobelman is the Founder and Managing Partner of CRE Bridge Capital. Daniel has been an active investor in commercial real estate for over 20 years. Over the past 10 years, Daniel and members of his team have originated, closed and serviced over $300 million of bridge loans. Of those 100-plus loans, the blended average IRR is greater than 20%.
Prior to forming CRE Bridge Capital, Daniel was the Director of Investments for a private REIT with approximately 13,000 apartments and $150 million in bridge debt. Before that, Daniel was a Managing Partner at a Chicago-based family office and served as the Managing Partner of a multifamily private equity fund.
Daniel is a graduate of Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and received an MBA from Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
RUSSELL STONE
Russell Stone, in addition to being a Partner of CRE Bridge Capital, is a managing member and acting principal of the family office, Stone Financial Group “SFG”. SFG grew out of the real estate company VMS, which grew AUM to over $9 billion. SFG’s core business is real estate investing, bridge and mezzanine lending, hotel management, venture capital, innovative technology and emerging markets.
As a managing member of SFG for the past 20 years, Stone is responsible for business development, prospective investment analysis, current investments oversite and the seeking of new opportunities for the family of companies. Outside of his roles with SFG, Stone has been a managing partner in several businesses including a solar lighting company, restaurants and an e-cigarettes business.
Stone has a degree in Business from the University of Kansas. Additionally, Stone holds a degree from Kendall College in Culinary Science and Hospitality.
ALEX AMBOIAN
Alex is a Senior Associate at CRE Bridge Capital, primarily focused on deal underwriting and loan servicing activities.
Prior to joining CRE Bridge Capital, Alex was a residential real estate broker in the Chicagoland area at Baird & Warner. Alex also worked at a small family office where he was involved with various investments ranging from real estate, private equity, venture capital, and public securities.
Alex graduated from Vanderbilt University and earned his MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
JOE SALZER
Joe is a Senior Associate at CRE Bridge Capital, where he focuses on Broker relations and underwriting potential new loans.
Prior to joining CRE Bridge Capital, Joe worked in the music industry in Chicago, managing artists, including Chance the Rapper. He also served as a Senior Analyst at Redstone Funding in Tampa, Florida.
Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sewanee: The University of the South and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida.
